3. Optimize Windows Visual Effects

  1. Press Win + R, type sysdm.cpl.
  2. Open the Advanced tab → section Performance → click Settings.
  3. Select Adjust for best appearance, or manually enable:
    • Smooth edges of screen fonts
    • Show thumbnails instead of icons
    • Enable desktop composition

4. If the Quality Is Still Low

🧩 Try another RDP client such as:

  • Remote Desktop App (Microsoft Store)
  • Royal TSX

🌐 If the connection is slow, check your VPS network speed.

⚙️ Advanced users can improve image quality via the Windows Registry:

  • Open:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp
  • Find ColorDepth and set the value to 4 (which equals 32-bit color).
